Ah Ha ! Now we know why you make those gat-gun gears look so easy !
Are you using Gearotic for the clock gears?
George
-
No George, the gear software is fairly new. I started my first clock last century. ( 1989 )
To use specific diameters it\'s necessary to create tooth geometry
matching both diameters. ( no standard pitch )
No magic here, the design is 400 years old first put on paper with ink and feather.
Those are my heroes.

More stuff

Can you feel it yet ?

Very nice! Is that clock a kit or drawing or did you just make it from scratch?

Going vertical

Dave,
Made from scratch from an old design. large gears are 6\" diameter
with a 15\" face
The new gears are 3\"

Nice work, are you a member of the Home Model Machinist also ? Any models or plans for the clocks ?
I was wanting to post a video of a beam engine I made but don\'t know how to post it.

Not a member of that group.
I\'ll check the archives for clock info
Thanks
