D&E Cam Location
« on: April 21, 2014, 02:05:42 AM »
Hello,
I am new to this group and the D&E Gatlin gun. There is a lot of great information here! I am a machinist over thirty years experience in the trade but nothing with firearms. I have a small machine shop at home: 1952 Monarch engine lathe, 1983 Bridgeport Boss 8 retrofit this year with new control, and Cinnannitti horizontal.
Could someone explain the cam placement to me?  All my instructions say is \"135 degrees.\"
Thanks,
Joe McCulloch

The center of the high point of the rear cam (.900 flat area) should be located in the housing at 135 degrees clockwise from vertical directly opposite of the .5 cutout for bolt insertion which is 45 degrees counterclockwise from vertical looking from the back of the gun.  Hope this makes sense!

Thanks Frank. Makes a lot better sense than the prints that I have.

Thanks again,

Joe
