Anyone have a home solution for stripping tin from brass ??

I think you can do it by electrolysis with the brass being the positive and a piece of copper the negative.  Kind of a reverse plating.

Sodium hydroxide (lye) and distilled water makes a base solution.

I checked my notes, the workpiece should be the negative, the opposite of what I previously posted.

Sorry Jerry,  I use this process for rust removal and have a sticky note to remind me which is positive and what is negative because  I never can remember!
