Here's a couple pics of the bolt carrier and pan. I'm working on the bolts now and will post pics of those when finished. I'm going to modify the bolt to use a finger stle ejector like others have suggested.

Just finished soldering lugs on bolts and fitting in to bolt carrier. Getting ready to turn down the ends and drill for pin and springs.

I've gotten the eccentric bolt ends turned now. Since I'm going with a finger ejector setup the bolt ends were cut .100 shorter to eliminate the protruding lip.

I found the length of the bolt and the firing pin to be
very critical. Too much head space will cause no fires.
The pin needs to be trimmed so that it does not damage
the barrel when dry fired. Any damage to the chamber
will cause ejecting problems. The edge of the chamber
needs to have a very slight chamfer so the lead bullet
will not catch on it.

Thanks for the tip Steve! I was considering those things while facing the ends of the bolts. I think I have them all within .002 in length. I also made the eccentric .005 longer than the print indicated. I figured I could shave that back later if needed.

Here's a sketch of the ejector I'm thinking of making for the bolts. Comments are welcome.

I still need to make the spring and pin retainers before I begin making the ejectors. I also need to polish it all up to a nice shine. The dry fit of these parts seem satisfactory at this point. The firing pins slide smoothly in the bolts as do the bolts in the carrier.

I like your finger ejector design. It has been mentioned in earlier posts but I do not believe anyone has made it yet. There is not much room on the bolt for mounting and adding the retainer pin and spring. Look at Cutter's posts.
The Nightwatchman suggested in an earlier post to rotate the position of the ejector so the retaining pin hole misses the firing pin hole. Sparky suggested the use of a wrap around spring ejector. I am going to use a flat spring ejector on the first gun as it has not been tried yet as I know of. I had success with it in my experiments.

How do you get the bolts to stick to the ceiling?

Not sure what happened over night, but all the pics I've posted on this topic have been flipped sideways or upside down?

I thought about rotating the ejector counter clockwise 10 to 15 deg but doing so will place the retaining pin closer to the firing pin. If I were to rotate clockwise, there would not be enough room for the ejector to actuate since it would interfere with the bolt carrier upon retraction of the bolt. My design has the ejector sticking up above the bolt eccentric by .025. It is roughly .100 tall and .093 wide. I'm thinking it has to be placed directly on top the eccentric to work.

Any updates to this build?    I was especially interested in the new extractor idea.
